- Payment is required upfront and no refunds are given after the initial (data gathering) phone consultation.

By using the WildlandFireCareers.com, you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by the terms of these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with the terms stated in these Terms and Conditions of Use or are dissatisfied with the site, do not use this website and service.
Wildland Fire Careers (”Loomis Hannah Wordsmithing”, “WildlandFireCareers.com”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “site” or “Company”) reserves the right to alter, modify or otherwise update these terms at any time, and you agree to be bound by such alteration, modifications, or updates. You should visit this page periodically to review the terms and conditions, because they are binding on you. The terms “you” and “user” as used herein refer to all individuals and/or entities accessing this website for any reason.

PRICING AND SERVICES:
Wildland Fire Careers does not guarantee that Services provided will generate any interviews or result in job placement. Services provided may include: Career development documents produced (such as résumés, KSA responses, automated hiring system profiles, etc.), editing services provided (such as editing, proofreading, typesetting, electronic formatting, etc.) and any consultation (including insight, advice or suggestions given by the owner or any persons affiliated with Wildland Fire Careers, Application Reviews, etc.). Wildland Fire Careers will not submit applications to any Vacancy Announcement, nor will we access any client online profiles.
Wildland Fire Careers will, in good faith, provide professional writing and career development services; however, it is your responsibility to ensure that all information contained within your résumé, application, online profile, or other career development documents produced by Wildland Fire Careers is accurate, true, and free from errors and omissions.
Your career documents will be prepared based on information provided at time of payment. If additional or new information is introduced, additional fees for consultation, writing, or revisions may be applicable. By using our products and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted our pricing and services.
PROOFREADING AND ACCURACY:
We do not verify any of the information that you provide us – it is your responsibility to provide us with up-to-date, accurate information.
Clients receive proofreading instructions with proof copy and are asked to check all data for accuracy and completeness. If corrections are needed, clients are asked to forward them via fax or e-mail. If an error is found after a final draft is approved, additional revision fees may be applied. Wildland Fire Careers is not responsible for errors or omissions that are “missed” during the proofreading process.
You are responsible for career documents’ completeness and accuracy, and for proofreading. We are not liable for any injury or damage caused by omissions, false statements, or other inaccuracies.
Up to two sets of revisions (based on original material provided) are included in the quoted fee. If you wish to make discretionary revisions or more than two sets of revisions, additional writing, rework, and/or consultation fees may apply. Additionally, all requests for revisions/notifications of needed changes must be submitted within 14 days of the date the first draft copy was e-mailed to you. If you wish to make revisions thereafter, you will be charged at the professional rate of $65 per hour – minimum one hour.
Once you have participated in the data gathering questionnaire/consultation, there will be no refunds. You acknowledge that our time spent reviewing initial documents, preparing for and conducting client interviews, communicating with you, preparing resumes and other documents, and providing all other products and services, is compensable.
You agree that if our pricing or fee schedules are rejected by a court or arbitrator, then you will compensate us at the rate of $100 per hour, with a minimum charge of $100. Time beyond the first hour will be rounded up to the nearest 1/4 hour.
CANCELLATION, CHARGEBACK FEES, & REFUSAL OF SERVICE:
By purchasing our services, you agree that time is of the essence and that you expressly acknowledge and waive your right to cancel this Agreement under applicable state laws. Clients who cancel their payment may be charged a $100 chargeback fee.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service to anyone.
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION, FILES, & DISK COPIES:
We provide your career documents in Microsoft Word (2003), PDF, and/or plaintext format. We cannot otherwise guarantee the compatibility of files with your systems or that documents will retain their original formatting features. We may keep electronic or paper copies of documents and correspondence indefinitely. Please note that Wildland Fire Careers does not provide technical support on document formatting and cannot guarantee system compatibility or the successful transfer of formatting features. We do not guarantee compatibility or delivery of email correspondence and attachments, nor are we liable for corrupted or infected files.
We retain the copyright in all resumes and other client documents that we prepare or create. Sharing (or allowing others to copy) the content of the resume and/or documents that we prepare for you (either in part or as a whole) is explicitly prohibited and is illegal. We expressly reserve all rights related to our copyrights.
Content on this site is our exclusive property or the exclusive property of our affiliates, and is protected by law. The compilation of content on this site is our exclusive property and is protected by law.
TRADEMARKS AND OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
Loomis Hannah Wordsmithing/Wildland Fire Careers and its affiliated websites (www.WildlandFireCareers.com and www.loomishannah.com) are our trademarks or other intellectual property. Our trademarks, trade dress, trade names, brand names, slogans, logos, graphics, and other intellectual property are protected by law. Among other things, they may not be used (a) in connection with any product or service that is not ours, (b) in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or (c) copied in any manner that disparages or discredits us.
We expressly reserve all rights related to our trademarks and other intellectual property. Other trademarks appearing on this site are the property of their respective owners.
We ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (“Personal Information”) such as your name and contact information. We use your Personal Information to operate our site and services. We may also inform you of our new features, services, and products. We keep client provided writing samples, resumes, and other information confidential.
We reserve the right to use our work (including resumes and other work prepared for you) and your questions, comments, and feedback in instructional, promotional, or other material. We will remove your Personal Information from any such work.
COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY: To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from clients. You submit writing samples, resumes, username and passwords, sensitive personal information, and any other material at your own risk.
LICENSE AND SITE ACCESS:
We grant you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with our express written consent.
This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this site or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this site or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools. This site or any portion of this site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Wildland Fire Careers does not warrant that product or service descriptions, or other content of this web site are complete or free of errors. We do not warrant that this site, its servers, or email sent from us are free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that the functions contained in its web site will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defects will be corrected.
We will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages or were grossly negligent. If the limitations set forth in this agreement are held inapplicable or unenforceable for any reason, then our maximum liability to you for any type of damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) shall be limited to $100.00.
In no event will Wildland Fire Careers, its officers, directors, employees, editors, and representatives be held liable for any damages of any kind, including without limitation compensatory, direct, indirect, or consequential damages, loss of income or data, loss of or damage to property, and claims of clients or third parties arising from any client’s rejection from any educational program, employment offer, or other opportunity of any kind. Further, you agree to hold us harmless from any academic, administrative, criminal, or civil proceedings.
We are in no way affiliated with, nor endorsed by, any third party listed on this site, automated hiring system, human resource management company, or the government entity (including such organizations as: USAJOBS, Avue Technologies Corporation, the US Forest Service, US Park Service, or the BLM).
The laws of the state of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Terms and Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise.

SITE POLICIES, MODIFICATION, AND SEVERABILITY:
We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time. All modifications to this Agreement must be made, in writing, by the owner of Loomis Hannah Wordsmithing/Wildland Fire Careers.
If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
